Create Contour Line

Contour Line

A Contour Line in LAND4 is basically a Ridge Line joining Spot Levels of equal height.

Draw Contour Line

To draw a Contour Line:

  1. Go to:
    • LAND4/Group Palettes/Show Ridge Line Palette, or
    • LAND4 Palette/Ridge Lines.
  2. Press Create Contour Line button.
  3. Enter desired z-value in pop-up dialog.
  4. Draw Contour Line.
  5. To end Contour Line:
    1. Double-click on end Spot Level.
    2. Go full-circle and click on start Spot Level.

Use polylines or splines.

Creating Contour Lines by using existing geometries is an easy and fast process.

To perform this operation:

  • Select existing Polyline or Spline.
  • Press Create Contour Line button.
  • Enter desired z-value in pop-up dialog.
  • Click on the selected object.
  • Contour Line is created.
