Dependencies
Dependency, Spot Levels
LAND4 Spot Levels are dynamic objects and can hold dynamic relations to other LAND4 Objects (Spot Levels, Fall Lines, Ridge Lines and LANDSurfaces). We say they show dependency.
Spot Level Generations
Parent Spot Levels
LAND4 Spot Levels used to generate new Spot Levels are called “parent Spot Levels” and the interpolated new Spot Levels will be their “children”.
Children and grandchildren
If interpolated Spot Levels (children) are used to create a new, third generation of Spot Levels (grandchildren) the first generation parent Spot Levels become “grandparent Spot Levels”, etc.
Dynamic relations
If parent Spot Levels are moved, elevated, or otherwise updated, then all dependent children and grandchildren Spot Levels will be updated accordingly.
Child Spot Levels can be moved but elevation cannot be changed manually since they are interpolated.
